Here is a super easy and super cute Christmas gift idea! Bath bombs are quick and easy to make, and they look adorable. You can find citric acid at your local supermarket, although you mind have better luck with finding it in bulk in a health food store on online.

Original recipe: https://www.doterra.com/US/en/blog/diy-fizzing-bath-bombs

WHAT YOU NEED:

1 cup citric acid
1 cup baking soda
½ cup cornstarch
8-10 drops of doTERRA essential oil

WHAT YOU DO:

  1. In bowl, place citric acid, baking soda, cornstarch, and oil.
  2. Add eight to 10 drops of the essential oil or blend of choice.
  3. Mix well with spoon until soft dough is formed. It should have the consistency of damp sand.
Note: If the mixture is too wet, try adding a little more baking soda and cornstarch until consistency is correct.
  4. At this point, you may add dried food coloring, dried herbs, or flower petals to mixture.
  5. Place mixture into round ice cube spheres (you can get them from Kmart). Pop them out and then wrap them in glad wrap asap. If the air get to them they absorb the moisture in the air and go puffy.
  6. Put the wrapped bath bomb into a clear plastic bag. Secure with a ribbon. Decorate with a snowman face. For the “carrot nose” you can use either an orange permenant marker, or I colored a white label with an orange marker and cut out the long triangle.
  7. To use, drop in tub or shower and allow to dissolve.
Note: Choose an essential oil to best suit your needs. For relaxation, try Lavender or doTERRA Lavender Peace®. For a mood boost, try Wild Orange, Citrus Bliss®, or Peppermint. Please always make sure the oil is one that is safe to be used topically.
