So, do these oils ACTUALLY work?

Just in case you missed it – there was an amazing study that was just published using the Aromatouch hand technique and Deep Blue (Ice Blue is the Australian name) and Copaiba.

The study looked at arthritis (Rheumatoid Arthritis, Osteoarthritis and chronic inflammation) and was a double blinded randomised placebo controlled trial. This type of trial is a medical study which means that neither the researchers nor the participants know who is getting the placebo and who is getting the treatment. The double blind trial is an extremely important and high quality style of study because it is able to prevent research outcomes from being ‘influenced’ by the placebo effect or observer bias.

Overall the patients who had the Aromatouch hand technique AND the Deep Blue and Copaiba had improved outcome measures (ie they had a greater improvement).
